Pella Insynctive Technology for Windows and Doors Recognized as 2018 TecHome Brilliance Award Winner

Homebuyer desire for technology continues to grow at a rapid rate, and innovative builders and manufacturers, like Pella Windows & Doors, are answering this demand with solutions that “wow” and that work.

At this year’s TecHome Brilliance Awards, Pella received two Best Overall Product awards for its Insynctive Technology in the categories of Smart/Connected Window and Motorized Shading System, recognizing the window and door manufacturer as pushing the envelope and leading the way with innovative new products that appeal to homeowners.

Launched in 2015, Pella Insynctive Technology has continued to expand delivering forward-thinking home security and automation solutions for customers. Homeowners can monitor their windows and doors and raise and lower their blinds and shades with just one tap using Pella’s free Insynctive app. Most recently, Pella began offering the option of building security sensors directly into select windows and patio doors, tucking it away and out of sight to preserve the beauty of Pella windows and doors.

“Customers care about the beauty for their home. With our new Insynctive sensors built directly into the window or door, we’re able to maintain the aesthetic of their home while delivering a solution that provides security, comfort and convenience to homeowners,” said Caleb Klein, Product Manager, Insynctive Technology, Pella Corporation.

According to Klein, there’s equal benefits of built-in sensors for builders and contractors too. The factory installed sensors require less labor and allow for easier access for service because they are wireless with up to a 10-year battery life. And, having the sensors built directly into the window maintains the warranty where after-market solutions can void the warranty by drilling into the window/door.

In addition to built-in sensors, homeowners who have Pella’s between-the-glass blinds and shades with Insynctive Technology can automatically control natural light, comfort and privacy from virtually anywhere using a smart device with Pella Insynctive app.

Pella Insynctive Technology was one of 24 products recognized at the TecHome Builder Summit. The awards were judged by a panel of homebuilders well-versed in technology and the products were evaluated based on features and function, homeowner benefits and unique advantages for builders and contractors.
