Pella Corporation’s Hidden Screen Makes Good Housekeeping’s Inaugural 2022 Home Reno Award List

Good Housekeeping announced its inaugural list of 2022 Good Housekeeping Home Reno Award winners, and Pella Corporation is proud to be included for its newest innovation, Hidden Screen. The Hidden Screen is the industry’s first and only hidden screen for vinyl windows among leading national window brands. A full list of winners can be found online at www.goodhousekeeping.com/homereno2022.

“Pella Corporation and Good Housekeeping are two legacy household brands in homes across America. We’re proud to be recognized by this prestigious company for our commitment to creating innovative window and door products that people can be proud to own in their home,” said Nicolle Picray, senior manager public relations and talent brand communications, Pella Corporation.

Pella’s Hidden Screen debuted in January of 2022 and was met with resounding excitement from homeowners.

“Customers want two things from their screens: keep the bugs out and let the fresh air in,” said Jenn Tuetken, senior design and insights manager, Pella Corporation. “What they don’t want is the hassle of cleaning or storing the screen, and they certainly don’t want screens to take away from the aesthetic appeal of their home. Hidden Screen solves all of that.”

Pella’s Hidden Screen is designed to be durable and long-lasting. It was independently tested to 9,400 cycles, which is equivalent to opening and closing your windows once a day for 25 years. The screen also provides the clearest view and allows 44 percent more natural light into the home when the window is closed than a standard screen. These independent findings from Pella were checked and verified by experts at the Good Housekeeping Institute as part of their rigorous review process.

The Hidden Screen is available on Pella’s vinyl window line, Pella 250 Series on double-hung, single-hung and sliding windows.
