For 100 years, Pella Corporation has redefined what’s possible in window and door manufacturing, blending craftsmanship with forward-looking innovation. This October, the company celebrated Manufacturing Month under The Manufacturing Institute’s theme “Collaborate to Innovate,” recognizing the role its people, processes, and products play in shaping the future of the industry.

“At Pella, collaboration and innovation are driven by our people who care deeply about our customers,” said Roger Marin, Vice President of Manufacturing & Logistics at Pella Corporation. “Across every one of our facilities, you’ll find team members who care deeply about their work – whether they’re welcoming students, supporting their communities, growing their skills, or finding new ways to innovate.”

Throughout the month, Pella’s manufacturing facilities demonstrated that a career in manufacturing can be smarter, safer, more collaborative, while delivering craftsmanship and high-quality products for our customers.

  • Inspiring future generations. Pella manufacturing facilities welcomed students across the country for tours, career fairs, and hands-on learning experiences designed to spark interest in manufacturing careers, including internships and co-ops in Murray, KY; Youth Career Expos and Job Shadow Days in Reidsville, NC; and career fairs and classroom partnerships in Sioux Center, IA.
  • Investing in talent. Team members were recognized through celebrations, wellness initiatives, professional development programs, and leadership pathways. Highlights include an English as a Second Language course for employees at Avanti in partnership with Maricopa Community College, and expanded English Language Learning in Carroll, IA.
  • Driving innovation. Pella’s facilities highlighted new ideas and technologies, from employee-driven process improvements to advanced product development. Recent examples include Sioux Center’s accessory automation cell that now supports multiple Pella sites, Bonelli’s new table method process that cut door production times, Avanti’s “hot rush” production schedule that enables a whole-home order in a single day, and the Pella Steady Set™ Interior Installation System – an industry first that makes window installation safer, faster, and more consistent for builders and installers.
  • Building community. Pella strengthened connections with local partners, schools, and organizations through volunteer efforts, sponsorships, and community events, including scholarships and nonprofit support in Sioux Center, IA; Gettysburg, PA’s Community & Culture Committee fundraisers and drives; and more than $100,000 in local investments from the Murray, KY facility.

Pella is proud to celebrate Manufacturing Month as both a reflection of its past and a commitment to the future. From breakthrough innovations to enduring craftsmanship, the company has built a legacy of turning bold ideas into solutions that solve customer problems. By inspiring the next generation of talent, investing in its people, and continuing to embrace change, Pella honors a century of success while shaping what comes next.
