Pella Celebrates Manufacturing Day
Manufacturing Day, held annually on the first Friday of October, is a significant event for the manufacturing industry. This year, Pella Corporation celebrated Manufacturing Day with events across its manufacturing locations, showcasing its dedication to its team members and their communities.
Here are some of the highlights from Pella's Manufacturing Day celebrations:
- Team Celebrations. From catered lunches and snacks to hot/cold packs adorned with the Pella logo and food trucks, Pella celebrated its team members across its 18 manufacturing sites. Some manufacturing sites featured Manufacturing Spirit Week with themes and giveaways as a thank you to the hard-working team.
- STEM Outreach. Local students in Shenandoah, Iowa, were treated to an educational experience with tours and hands-on STEM-related activities.
- Community Engagement. The Chamber Event in Sioux, Iowa, offered manufacturing tours to the broader community, and Pella's participation in the Envision Youth Career Expo in Reidsville, North Carolina, provided a platform to shed light on careers in manufacturing.
- Giving Back. Beyond Pella manufacturing site walls, the company extended its commitment to the community through volunteer work. Team members at the Murray, Kentucky, site made a generous donation to the Murray/Calloway Co Area Technology Center, while the team in Sioux Center, Iowa, volunteered at the Hope Food Pantry.
