Hidden Screen Selected as 2022 MVP Award Winner by PRODUCTS

Pella’s newest innovation, Hidden Screen, has once again been recognized for pushing the boundaries of design and technology. The disappearing window screen has been selected as a 2022 MVP Award Winner by PRODUCTS. The game-changing innovation received the Silver Award in the windows and doors category.

“Innovating with purpose and passion is at the heart of what we do at Pella,” said Nicolle Picray, senior public relations and talent brand communications manager, Pella Corporation. “Across our organization we are in constant pursuit of finding ways to make our customers’ lives easier and their homes more beautiful with products that are built with intention and integrity.”

Drawing on decades of screen design and innovation, the Hidden Screen is the industry’s first and only hidden screen for vinyl windows among leading national window brands. The Hidden Screen appears when you open your window and folds away when the window is closed. Homeowners no longer need to take their screens out of their windows and clean and store them. The screen provides the clearest view and allows 44 percent more natural light into the home when the window is closed than a standard screen. It was independently tested to 9,400 cycles, which is equivalent to opening and closing your windows once a day for 25 years.

Founded in 2016, PRODUCTS is the only all-products and materials news source for builders, architects, remodelers, and kitchen and bath designers who operate in the residential space. The Most Valuable Product (MVP) Awards program is in its fifth year and recognizes the most innovative products in categories like kitchen and bath, doors and windows, flooring, connected home and more. Entries were judged by a panel of industry professionals ranging from interior designers to architects.
