Easy-Slide Operator Earns Top AZURE Design Award

Pella Corporation’s innovative new hardware solution – Easy-Slide Operator – has won the People’s Choice award in the Design - Architectural Products category in the 2021 AZ Awards for Design Excellence. The AZ Awards recognize the world’s best projects, products and ideas in 10 categories.

“The Easy-Slide Operator took our innovation team more than two years to design and refine. To now be recognized for design excellence shows our commitment to testing the limits of what we think is possible in terms of design and innovation,” said Nicolle Picray, brand communications and PR manager, Pella Corporation.

The recently launched hardware solution allows homeowners to open and close casement and awning windows by easily sliding the operator up to open and down to close the window, offering a much smoother operation and enhanced experience.

This award comes on the heels the Easy-Slide Operator being recognized as a Best Product at the 2021 International Builders Show and being named a finalized in the International Design Excellence Awards.

The Easy-Slide Operator is currently available on Pella Impervia fiberglass casement and awning windows. The company plans to expand the availability of Easy-Slide Operator to additional product lines in late 2021.

The AZ Awards program acknowledges products that exemplify excellence in innovation, aesthetics, creativity, social and environmental responsibility. With 1,209 submissions from 57 countries, the 2021 program used industry experts as jurors to select 72 finalists for the 22 awards categories. Ahead of the awards announcement, online voting allowed individuals a chance to vote for their favorite finalist, with the winner of each category receiving the People’s Choice award.
