Apprenticeships Connect Pella with the Next Generation of Talent

Pella Corporation is continuing to invest in the future workforce through its partnership with WorkSMART Connector creating opportunities for local students to gain hands-on experience while preparing for careers in manufacturing, information technology and business. 

The partnership was recently highlighted during the WorkSMART Connector Signing Day at the Career Academy of Pella, where nearly 50 area students committed to apprenticeship and certification pathways. Several of those students will complete work-based learning experiences with Pella, earning wages and academic credit while developing skills that prepare them for future careers. 

For more than five years, Pella has participated in WorkSMART's Manufacturing Technologies Apprenticeship, helping connect students with careers in advanced manufacturing. This year, the company expanded its involvement by launching a new Manufacturing Experience Apprenticeship focused on foundational production roles. Pella also continues to support Business and IT apprenticeships, strengthening talent pipelines across multiple areas of the organization.

The impact goes both ways. Students gain real-world experience and a strong start to their careers, while Pella team members can mentor and develop emerging talent – strengthening both our teams and our connection to the communities we serve.
