Pella® Architect Series® double-hung wood windows combine the best of a traditional, old-world appearance with modern performance and quality and are available in two lines for distinctive detailing and virtually unlimited design possibilities.

Luxury Edition (LX) and Style Edition (SE)

Two distinct packages of double-hung wood windows with:

• Superior attention to proportional detailing: unique hardware design with an S-shaped (ogee) profile that matches the curve appeal of the sash, grilles and hardware
• Available in full frame or Precision Fit® fully-assembled pocket replacement frame for easy installation in either new construction, remodeling or replacement applications
• Hidden tilt latches hardware available with standard surface-mounted lock or optional old-world spoon-shaped lock in five optional colors: White, Champagne, Bright Brass, Satin Nickel, or Oil-Rubbed Bronze finishes

Architect Series Luxury Edition (LX)

• Industry-leading DP50 (design pressure) performance in most sizes for withstanding weather elements
• Choice of primed wood or aluminum EnduraClad® exteriors
• Three unique shapes (rectangle, arch head or springline) to add even more design interest
• Removable wood jamb liner for easy painting and staining and more traditional look
• Steady-Tilt™ feature allows for easy cleaning of lower sash; lower window tilts in and stops like an oven door for greater ease and safety
• Custom glazing solutions available, including clear or tinted glazing, or Pella’s high-performance, energy-efficient Low-E glazing that protects against harmful UV rays
• Variety of grille sizes and patterns featuring Pella’s patented Integral Light Technology (ILT), including removable with custom, standard or special patterns, for the historic look of true divided light with all the energy efficiency of a modern engineering
• Available with full or half insect screens or Vivid View® screens, which allow for the ultimate in beautiful, unobstructed views complementing the old-world charm of a double-hung window

• Vinyl fixed jamb liner

Great views and colors to match

• Optional Rolscreen retractable insect screen available on selected patio doors and windows rolls out of sight when not in use
• Optional full or half Vivid View screens available on selected window styles that are 50 percent more transparent and allow 67 percent more ventilation than traditional flat screens
• Choose from Low-E insulating glass with argon*; standard clear insulating glass; Gray, Bronze or Green tinted insulating glass; or obscure glass on any Architect Series window or door
• Both series come with standard Tan, White or Brown exterior aluminum cladding colors or choose from Poplar White, Putty, Hartford Green, Hemlock, Morning Sky Gray, Brick Red, Black, or a custom color for any Architect Series window or door

 

Architect Series Features — Hardy hardware

• Patented Unison Lock System secures both upper and lower locks with a single easy-to-reach handle
• Stainless steel operating hardware helps resist rust and corrosion — even in demanding seacoast environments; standard hardware in Champagne or White; optional hardware colors in Bright Brass, Satin Nickel or Oil-Rubbed Bronze
• Optional Rocky Mountain® hardware; each piece is cast in solid bronze
• Superior patio door hinge design ensures years of dependable performance

 

Architect Series Features — Design custom looks with grilles

• S-shaped (ogee) grilles permanently bonded to the inside and outside of energy-efficient insulating glass with a patented nonglare spacer between panes of glass
• Solid wood on the interior and wood or aluminum on the exterior
• Choose from four standard grille patterns (Traditional, Prairie, 9-Lite Prairie, Top Row) or create a custom pattern on all Architect Series® windows and doors
• Available with or without removable, interior wood grilles in standard or Colonial profile

*High-altitude Low-E insulating glass does not contain argon.
