1937 – Pella’s first window, a steel-framed casement style with wooden interior, divided window panes and a removable insulating glass panel launches

1957 – insulating glass provides greater energy efficiency

1958 – Industry-first removable wood window-pane dividers add style

1960 – Wood sliding glass doors appear

1964 – Pivoting, tilt-in sashes added for easier cleaning

1966 – Industry-first Slimshade® blinds protected between panes of glass created

2003 – Pella® Impervia®, made from Duracast®, the strongest, most durable material available in windows and doors

2004 – Rolscreen® retractable screens available on Pella storm doors

2004 – Vivid View® virtually “invisible” screens increase light and air flow

2004 – Architect Series® double-hung window redesigned to feature a historic profile, authentic spoon hardware

2005 – Designer Series® windows and patio doors now feature exclusive snap-in between glass window fashions in blinds, shades, and grilles for added convenience, cleanliness and design flexibility

2005 – Durable Pella® Impervia® patio doors debut

2005  – AdvantagePlus™ protection system for entry doors is introduced to guard against installation and maintenance worries

2006 – Express Install® storm door allows a new storm door to be installed in less than an hour*

2006 – Designer Series collection expands to include new snap-in decorative panels protected between panes of glass in windows and patio doors

2006 – Architect Series® premium woods products debut in Mahogany, Alder and Douglas Fir

2008 – Wood entry doors debut in Mahogany, Rustic Walnut, American White Oak and Cherry
