Overview: Decorative style choices available in Pella’s most energy-efficient wood windows and patio doors

Products available: Wood windows and wood patio doors

Latest product news: Newer vintages of Designer Series products will be compatible with the new Pella SmartSync™ technology — an integrated system that allows shades or blinds to be controlled easily by a remote control or by a home or building automation system through Web-enabled devices like computers and smart phones.

Pella Designer Series wood windows and patio doors give homeowners less to worry about and more ways to decorate their homes. Optional between-the-glass blinds, fabric shades and removable grilles stay protected from dust and damage so they don’t need constant cleaning. Their exclusive snap-in technology makes it easy to change the color or style of the blinds and shades.

“Cordless” window fashions are safer for homes with children and pets. They also help prevent and reduce certain indoor airborne allergens from accumulating on the surface area of blinds or shades, thereby improving indoor air quality.

Designer Series wood windows and patio doors offer up to 74 percent more energy efficiency2.

The following Designer Series products are available:

  • Wood windows, including casement, awning, double-hung, bay, bow and special shape windows
  • Wood hinged patio doors and wood sliding patio doors

The Pella Designer Series line also offers fully assembled Precision Fit® pocket replacement windows in casement, double-hung and awning styles.

Pella Designer Series products have been featured in several nationally recognized projects:

Green Builder Media VISION House® exhibit

Designer Series windows are featured in the VISION House® presented by Green Builder® Media exhibit in INNOVENTIONS at Epcot® at the Walt Disney World® Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The VISION House exhibit features Pella SmartSync™ technology that makes it possible to remotely raise and lower Designer Series window shades or blinds to help conserve energy using a smart phone or home automation system.3

Chicago’s Smart Home

The Museum of Science and Industry featured Designer Series windows throughout its Smart Home: Green + Wired exhibit in Chicago in 2009 – 2010. The three-story modular and sustainable home educated children and adults about the importance of sustainable design and inspired them to make changes in their own homes.

Kansas City HEALTH HOME®

Kansas City’s H&S Covenant Homes designed a state-of-the-art model home in 2008 specifically for asthma and allergy suffers that featured Pella Designer Series windows. Between-the-glass window fashions helped to minimize indoor air allergens.
